Baleaf leggings: are they a real Lululemon alternative?
On the spec sheet, yes: similar fabric, more pockets, about a third of the price. What we can’t tell you is how they wear, and Baleaf’s “sale” prices haven’t moved once in our checks.

We may earn a commission when you buy through links on this page. Baleaf pays us a commission; lululemon does not. It never changes which deals we list or what we say about them.
Are Baleaf leggings a real Lululemon alternative? On the spec sheet, mostly yes. Baleaf’s Flyleaf Seamless Leggings are 80% nylon and 20% spandex, with two side pockets, for $32. lululemon’s Align High-Rise Pant 25" is 81% nylon and 19% Lycra elastane, with one waistband pocket, for $98. A label tells you what a legging is made of. It doesn’t tell you how it holds up, so we stick to what both brands print and what we can check.

The short answer: Baleaf vs Lululemon
Pick Baleaf if you want side pockets, sizes up to 3XL in letter sizing, and a legging for $32–$35 instead of $98–$128.
Pick lululemon if you want a specific fabric you already know and like, numeric sizes from 0 to 20, and the option to exchange (Baleaf doesn’t take exchanges).
On price: all 10 Baleaf deals on our list sat at the same price on every morning check, some for 27 checks in a row. Treat Baleaf’s sale price as its everyday price.

If side pockets matter, lululemon’s like-for-like is the Align High-Rise Pant with Pockets 25": two side pockets and a back pocket, $128 regular, $74 in a final-sale markdown when we checked.
Fabric: closer than the price gap suggests
The two core leggings are almost the same blend on paper: roughly four parts nylon to one part stretch fibre. lululemon calls its version Nulu and describes it as buttery-soft, four-way stretch, sweat-wicking and breathable. Baleaf calls its fabric brushed, soft, stretchy and moisture-wicking.
Not every Baleaf legging uses the same mix. The Baleaf Stretchy High-Rise Capri 21" on our list is 88% polyester and 12% spandex. The 25" Tummy Control Leggings are 69% nylon and 31% spandex, with Baleaf describing them as compression. Read the fabric line on the exact pair you buy.
We can’t tell you how either feels after fifty washes. We can tell you what each brand says it’s made of, what each one costs, and that the Align costs about three times as much as the Flyleaf ($98 against $32).
Pockets and features
This is Baleaf’s clearest win. The Flyleaf and both capris on our list have deep side pockets at no extra cost (the 25" Tummy Control Leggings have none). The basic Align has no side pockets, and lululemon’s pocket version costs $30 more. Baleaf’s page says the Flyleaf “passed the squat test” and is non-see-through. That is Baleaf’s claim; we haven’t tested it.
Both brands give the same care instructions: machine wash cold with like colours, tumble dry low, no bleach, no iron.
Sizing: what each brand says
We take sizing only from each brand’s own pages, read October 18, and the answer in our FAQ is the same one given here.
Baleaf sells the Flyleaf and the 21" capri in XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL and 3XL. The product page offers a “Find My Size” tool and a size guide but doesn’t say whether it runs true to size.
lululemon says the Align fits true to size. Its women’s size chart runs from 0 to 20, with 20 listed as 2X. The Align colour we read offered 0 to 14; the Align with Pockets offered the full 0 to 20.
If you know your lululemon size, compare your waist and hip measurements with Baleaf’s size guide rather than converting letters to numbers.
Returns: both 30 days, different catches
Baleaf accepts returns “within 30 days of receipt”, in new condition with hang tags on. You pay return shipping, or use Baleaf’s prepaid label for $5 per item, taken off your refund. Baleaf doesn’t take exchanges, and special-offer items and free gifts can’t be returned.
lululemon says purchases made “within 30 days can be returned or exchanged”, unworn and unwashed with tags. Its holiday window is longer: purchases from October 13 to December 24 can come back until January 21. The catch is the markdowns. Sale items from its “We Made Too Much” section are final sale unless you’re a member, and both lululemon markdowns quoted above were marked final sale.
Beyond leggings: running tops and rain jackets
The same pattern holds across the range: similar materials, a much lower price, fewer reviews on Baleaf’s own site.
Swiftly Tech Long-Sleeve Shirt 2.0: $78. Nylon, recycled polyester and elastane with X-STATIC anti-odour fibre, thumbholes. 4.4 from 3,092 reviews.
Rain jacket
Women’s Waterproof Cycling Rain Jacket: $56 (was-price $79). 100% polyester, seam-sealed, rated by Baleaf at 5,000mm. S–3XL. 4.56 from 41 reviews.
Rain Chaser Jacket: $198 regular, $169 final sale. Three-layer waterproof Glyde fabric, cinchable hood. 0–14.
Two things a spec table can’t settle: lululemon’s odour-control fibre has no Baleaf equivalent on these pages, and lululemon’s jacket page calls it waterproof without giving a millimetre rating, so the two waterproof claims aren’t directly comparable.
Which Baleaf pieces are on sale right now
These are the 10 Baleaf deals on our list on October 18, 2026. Our morning check recorded each one at the same price every day since it joined the list, so we grade them on that record. Our tracking started September 23, so we can’t say what Baleaf charged before then.
Leggings and pants
Baleaf Stretchy High-Rise Capri 21" · ORDINARY
$38, was $56 (32% off) when we checked on October 18. A fair price for a pocketed capri, not a passing sale: it was $38 on all 21 checks since September 29.
The catch: we have never recorded the $56 price, so the 32% is measured against Baleaf’s own compare-at figure.
$40, was $54 when we checked on October 18, the same on all 12 checks since October 7. Skip it unless you want the shorter length: the 21" capri above is $2 cheaper.
Every Baleaf deal we list is on our Baleaf deals page, updated each morning.
Our pick
If you already own and like a lululemon fabric, $98 buys the certainty that you’ll get the same thing again, plus exchanges. If you’re buying your first pair, or you want pockets, Baleaf’s $32 Flyleaf matches the Align on fibre content and inseam for about a third of the price. Baleaf’s price is steady, so there’s no rush: $32 is what it costs most days.
How we checked
On October 18, 2026 we read the product pages for every item in this article on baleaf.com and shop.lululemon.com, both brands’ return policies and lululemon’s women’s size chart. Baleaf prices come from our morning check, which records every deal on our list each day; three were re-read at about 2:35 PM ET. Retailers can’t pay to be listed. Our method is in how we check a deal.
FAQ
Are Baleaf leggings as good as Lululemon?
On the spec sheet they’re close: Baleaf’s Flyleaf is 80% nylon and 20% spandex, the Align 81% nylon and 19% Lycra. We haven’t worn them, so we can’t judge feel or durability.
How much cheaper are Baleaf leggings?
About a third of the price. On October 18, 2026 the Flyleaf was $32 and the Align 25" $98 regular, both on the brands’ own sites.
Do Baleaf leggings run small?
Baleaf’s product page doesn’t say. It offers sizes XS to 3XL and a size guide; compare your waist and hip measurements with it rather than converting from lululemon sizes.
Are Baleaf leggings see-through?
Baleaf says the Flyleaf is non-see-through and passed its squat test. That is the brand’s claim; we haven’t tested it.
Can you return Baleaf leggings?
Yes, within 30 days of receipt, new with tags. You pay return shipping or $5 per item for Baleaf’s label, and Baleaf doesn’t do exchanges.
